Got the new DX-18 update installed and see the Jetcat model for ECU
Anyone operating this ??

Chris Huhn is the only one i no of so far. He's one of the devolopers of the spektrum radio.

I have seen it first hand ;) it works flawlessly.
you get rpm, egt, pump volts, command %, last off condition, and status.

all live in real time on the DX18 screen. its awesome. Horizon is always leading the pack!!! look for Great Planes to introduce the same thing, but for Jet Joe in 2015.:):)

Really?? Other than the cool factor what benefit does this actually offer us? From what I've ever known/seen a turbine sounds fine and then suddenly "whoooooooo" it stops - I've never seen the turbine equivalent of a glow engine where it starts going sick/splutters etc but keeps running (i.e telemetry of the parameters mentioned wouldn't indicate a pending problem/flameout?)

Would the real time parameters fed to a display stop flameouts etc? I doubt it. For them to be remotely useful you would also need a 2nd spotter to constantly monitor the data being fed back. That's 3 people to fly 1 jet. Most airliners only need 2 :D:D

Or, is it just to stop you having to plug the GSU in after a flight to see these parameters from the flight??

Telemetry is the way forward good to see spektrum are forward thinking
