RE: Hex Servo Screws
I remember a long time back, when I was at school, going to the Sandown Expo and joining in the rugby scrum at the SLEC stand to save 10p on a bag of wing bands. As soon as I escaped from the ruck I went and bought my first heli (which was a lot of money for me at the time).
Were there any 'bargain buckets' at Jetpower? If so, I wonder how many people would admit to searching through them for a bargain and then going to buy a brand new kit or turbine? :D |

Both 7/16 and 9/16 #2 socket head servo screws are sold on RCU. My ad is under airplanes and also have rubber backed washers. Currently advertised in the airplane buy and sell section. I have a lot in stock here in the US and have shipped all over the world. Jerry M

ORIGINAL: raptureboy Here you go. i buy all my fastners from him. http://www.jrhobbyhardware.com/shop/ That's a good price. Certainly worth considering next time I buy any quantity cross head servo screws stripping leaving me to have to twist them out with fine nose pliers. Finding a source of these screws may seem a but insignificant and sad to some but I am fed up with thecross head servo screws stripping leaving me to have to twist them out with fine nose pliers. Only a little bit of corrosion makes removal even harder. Besides they are going to make installation on my new project a whole lot quicker saving a lot of time. I definitely don't have the financial means to have models built for me so I have to do all the hard work myself. Now all I need to is find and alternative source (aka UK) of these servo mounts which I have trailed for securing the larger servos on the Tornado and have worked perfectly. Alternative to Tamjets would be great and in quantity would be perfect. http://www.tamjets.com/original/prod...roducts_id=201
|
RE: Hex Servo Screws
Also, smaller servo mounts like the Tamjet ones would be ideal for the boom rudder and elevator servo mounts. Currently wooden blocks tend to get used which are a bit fiddley

Here we go again  £9.18 http://alshobbies.com/shop/lookupstock.php?pc=6978 But Tam's are $9.99 so if you order them there, pay the postage, parcelfarce handling fee, and VAT should save a few...pennies. :D |

RE: Hex Servo Screws
Servo mounts? try Perkins they sell lasered wood ones at about £1.20 each but don't bother to glue them together so that they match the rest of the plane. Dont forget to check that price with Al's for any difference,he will want to know.
