RE: simjet 700
Hi,
I once had a SimJet 700. It was installed in a Savex L-39 Albatros. From the very first start I had problems with that turbine, so I ended up returning it to the Sim Jet factory. Got a S.J. 3000 instead which is a reliable and steady workhorse. The 700 was discontinued due to various problems...and from what I hear, the factory has stopped producing model turbines! No service, no spare parts anymore..so my advice is: Buy a Wren 44 Gold or equivalent from another make. /Pete |

But that was a good reason. If you are collecting...in this case turbines, you also need the bad ones to complete the collection. I wish you luck in your efforts to "dig up"a SJ 700. Best regards /Pete |

RE: simjet 700
I have to agree. The simjets were/are good engines. I was the guy that recently sold the 700 on RC Canada.
I still have a few 2300 and 3000's. They run well with good thrust, spool up time and fuel economy. I think some of the older versions could use an upgrade to v10 ecu. |
