RE: byron bullet
I knew a guy that had one many years ago. It was definitely the fastest byron powered plane I ever saw. Speeds were about 160 mph, maybe higher. It looked like it flew OK.

RE: byron bullet
no cheater hole.....hatch covering motor......makes me think it will be faster and more efficient than the f16, etc

RE: byron bullet
Ed,
I had one several years ago---It was a fun plane but had its' quirks. The wings are very flexable in stock form. I had mine film covered until the first flight. In a high speed turn, if you pull back too hard the model has a severe tendency to "tuck". It was discovered that the flexable wings were contributing to the tuck. The fix is to glass the wings. I used 1 ounce cloth. I would guess mine would go about 140-145 mph with an 80cc engine. Kevin |

I had one too, pulled the OS77 and put a OS91 in it for grass field ops as that was all but once I used it for. I have some vid of it here somewhere!
I had alot of fun with it. The plane is for sale for anyone that wants it, a buddy bought it and never flew it. I must ad, he doesnt want to ship it, its in Washington. Pic, it was black when I flew it. |
