Mine doesn't have that. Can it be retrofitted? I've heard the mig is bouncy on a good day

Did any version of the MiG-15 close the inner gear doors and nose gear doors when the gear is down and locked? The full scale I work on does not, but I may be unaware of other variants that were built.

TSHARK203 11-02-2017 07:12 AM

No. All doors say open on all variants.

The door sequencing in the video is wrong. Gear down - all doors open, - Gear up - all dors close. simple as that!

Yep. I was just trying to be nice about it. :D

I´m trying to contact Agoston with no success.

Was any of you able to contact Agoston lately?

JohnMac 11-10-2018 01:25 AM

Is Flytechique still going? I know were there is one of these kits, unstarted and I have considered looking into purchasing it. However, given the flap jamming issues and a report of a wing snapping, that has given me pause. If the manufacturer is not around to get any spares then I think I will pass.

As far as I know Agoston is still in business selling planes. However if you are looking for one I do have 2. One is built and the other is still in kit for I belive. Agoston built one that I have here. It has all the servos installed, gear is installed and converted to electric by down and locked. An can be sold with the jetcat 180 that is installed. It needs to be painted. So it can be finished relatively quickly. If you are interested drop me a line [email protected] .

The one that George has has had the wing modded by me and the flaps have been cleaned up. Simple way of keeping the flaps from jamming.... leave them about a 1/16th open.... cheap insurance and nobody will ever notice. The wing tube has had a 3/8 ply former applied to it and 6oz carbon covering the tube and wing skin, its not going anywhere.

TSHARK203 11-10-2018 07:17 AM

I did the wing mod on the first one I did as well. No problems with the flaps after that.

This wing and tube is not going anywhere now.

Thanks for the replies Tshark203 and Dr Scholes.
Tshark 2013, the kit that I know about is around 35 miles from my home. Your are about 3000;) But thanks for the offer.
But both good ideas about reinforcing the wing joiner tube and regarding the flap.

Hi John,
I still deal with the model. You can contact me at the following email address. [email protected]
In short, for your two ideas, I would only react to that when constructing, observe the instructions given in the manual step by step and then these problems do not occur.
Check the flaps under load with your hand. Do not use larger turbine(140-160Nm) as recommended, like TSHARK(220Nm).
And do not overload the model like any other model. Then you have nothing to worry about. This is a scale jet NOT FUNJET.

Best,
Agoston

Hi Agoston,

Great to hear you are still producing this model. I still think it is the best kit I have ever bought.
