Skymaster F5

Wanted to know what the largest servo that will fit for elevators flaps and ailerons. Was hopeing to use 8711 on flaps and elevators and 8411 on ailerons. Will be picking up kit next week.

Thanks

Hi,

I had 8711's on mine on the flaps, elevator and rudder. 8611's
on the ailerons. I just sold a newer kit,and the 8611's wouldn't
fit in the aileron pocket of that one. Good luck.

Thanks. That is good news. I will use 8411 on ailerons 8711 on everything else. Love the T38. I have many flights on mine and looking forward to the fighter version.

Does this airframe "hop" off the tarmac?

Rav,

If the throws, and cg are set properly,it does not "hop off" like an F-18 or similar jet with a short tail moment.I found that this airplane flies more like a sport jet than any scale jet I've flown. The big surprise is that it slows down in the pattern as well as a Bobcat, and has no bad tendencies unless you seriously push it on the slow side.I had the shark nose version.Good luck,

Erik

Found out with mine that if you use full flap for takeoff it rotates into the air very nice. It would almost tail stand if you use an approach flap setting. The f-5 used full flap for takeoff.
