Speedworld update
 

Some GOOD news in time for Christmas. Our club attorney has informed us that the current landlord of the Speedworld complex is in the final negotiation phase for an exit from the State owned property. As part of the exit strategy the landlord is being required to return the land to Desert Scape. Now the GOOD part: as part of the land restoration; the Model Airplane facility is to remain intact. While we the club, have not been able to communicate with the State, or its representatives, our attorney tells us that once the litigation is complete the State Land Commission is ready to discuss a long term arrangement with the RC club. So, we are cautiously optimistic concerning the future of our flying site, as well as the future of Desert Jet Storm. I'll keep you posted; but in the meantime, have a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year.
