Power Box Royal Setup Question

I am looking for someone who knos the powerbox inside an out. Ok I have been working my way through on setting up this powerbox an have run into a problem. In matching up my elevator servos, I have managed to reverse one servo and get my travel some what close. The issue is that one of my 8711s starts its movement before the other. Is there any way to truely sync the servos together. What step am I missing ir doing wrong. I am guessing I am going to have the same issue with my flaps if I dont get this fixed.

I assume both of this servos are in the same channel exit and in the same gang group for example "A".

Are you watching the elevators ,you better take the servos out infrond of you and watch the servo arms direct so there is no interfering from geometrical imperfection on the links.

There is a possibility you didnt hold the stick all the way to the end point during programming thats why you could have a "dead" travel.

Try reset the group exit and program again. Let us know what happens

Also make sure the throws and end points on your actual transmitter are all on or above 100%.

My end points are set at 150-150 as per the manual.

RE: Power Box Royal Setup Question

Occasionally one servo is slightly different than the other, but this can be checked by taking them out and testing the throw and movement next to each other through the power box. If the movement is matched then the problem is horn position or geometry. Small differences in linkage angle, horn position (sometimes due to servo mounting) can cause this.

RE: Power Box Royal Setup Question

HI, I have set up many PB's
1- initialise at 150 %travel on your 4 channels
2-Reversing, keep at 150% and use the servo that is going in the right direction as your base servo(example A1)
3-Always remove servos from jet and place side by side
4-plug second servo into A2 socket and reverse 90degrees at a time ( left then right, or up then down )
5-check travel and fine tune.
6- reduce travel, 125 is safe.
7-if you do not reduce the travel, the reversed servo, at max travel, could rotate 180 degrees, causeing #"*^#??

RE: Power Box Royal Setup Question

Thanks Pete
I think I have found part of my problem in that I first just assumed that the rods on both sides were equel. But I remembered that when I was building out the elevators one was set back further than the other. This caused a miss match in rod length of over 1/2". So I have now fixed this problem. Just need to recharge my radio and try setting up the pb again in the morning.
