Tamjets E-gear upgrade
So many been request when I offer my e-gear for my A-4. Alway said why. Air is working fine. But likely I sold more of my A-4 to electric flyer. Been shop around whom had the gear can drop in my kit. I find either too big, too small or too poor quality.
So the last few week start machining the parts and play around with the gear ratio. Last night sit down with my software designer to come up a simple module to drive this gear. He said easy done for proto type testing. Production he will do more research for cost effective and had option to add on more features down the road. Here is my testing and fine tuning the gear. Last night stay up late play with new design e-gear. Even is work. But it is fun work making new products.
So far so good with the electric motor. Do the load test and it take very low power to run these electric gear. Each gear only took 0.20A to raise up and 0.14A to come down. The motor stall at 1.4A. This is testing with 3" wheels/brake. So all three gear only use 0.60A to raise and 0.42A to low it. All three gear stall at 4.2A. I using 2 cells lipos doing the test. Still under design stage and need do completely test run cycle before we put in the motor gear order.

Will this e-conversion be adaptable to pro link retracts ? |

With few parts chance it can be done to any standard size gear. I still got few more smaller motor gear to play around for smaller OD cylinder.
