Hi Sandor. I am already booked with a group of three other guys. I am sure others are going. Whether we will have any money to spend is another matter. All contributions gratefully received:D.

And talking about retirement plans....long live, the thousands of Euros, poor us Cypriots, have been spending in the European model jet market, so that our North European brothers can have a good retirement plan!!

Thanks God all modelers in Cyprus could bring their savings in safety by buying daily so much stuff overseas, before their government decided to impose a tax of nearly 10% on their bank accounts ! [8D]

According to my information it was the EU commision not Wolfgang Schäuble who developed this idea but nevertheless it simply doesn't matter who develeped this crazy idea.

That is the ultimate result of that type over government. Sadly the people in charge here are trying to do the same thing with the idea that somehow it will work even better with 300 million people that will end up with the same results.

Let's hope that tonight we will have a positive outcome, it seems that WE the under 100k depositors will not have the ''haircut'' but it's not clear when we will be able to retrieve our money.
At the moment i spend about 2 hrs a day in a ATM trying to get as much as i can just to survive with the basics!
In 2011 Jetpower i had Christos stopping in an ATM in Bohn every day trying to get money to pay FEJ for the 1/6 F16 .....what a difference in lifestyle......not sure if i will be able to come this year but surely i will do my best!!

Reviving this thread with a big up. My buddy and I just booked tickets to Germany and we're going to Jetpower 2013!

Any suggestions for first timers welcome :)

btw, is it the kind of show that could have specials on kits/turbines etc??

Looking forward to the event as usual every year, and hope to see many friends and customers too.

I will be bringing along a nice range of accessories and my F3S jet to the show - CAT products with a new version called the ULTRA for use with big turbines 300-500N types, BULLET clunks, PRO-FILLER tank hardware, SERVO DOCKS for simple safe servo installations and UATD's for fixing in air tank bottles of all sizes. Also a slick new fuel/vent system called MAGLOK which makes a really simple and hassle free connection system for your jets.

Also a trick new TAXI TANK made from composites and anodised aluminium and the ORION jet designed for F3S which Ali Machinchy will be flying :D

Usual place in the second marquee next to Pirotti which is good news as the coffee I blag in the morning is superb ;)

My buddy and I spent a good chunk of last night searching through hotels near Bad Neuenahr. A lot of them are already booked up, I got a tip off from Ali that Reichenbach is a good option, they're pretty much all booked also. So we settled for the President Hotel Bonn (President Hotel Bonn - Zentrum) - a little run on the motorway to get there but looks comfortable.

Flights - check
Car hire - check
Accomodation - check

Steigenberger hotel booked yesterday, a shared superior room with a friend cost 170 euro per person for 2 nights...i found it a good deal for what i was asking for...flight though was doubled that price.

Hi therep 4 of us from Panama will be there..... What's the best place to stay? Or where to stay??
