I have always liked this one. A proper job of a demo of a wet start. Listen to for those immortal words at the end "get the bleep fire extinquisher" followed by "don't panic"

interesting. I would never stand next to the turbine like that, fire is one thing, but a turbine wheel fragment to the chest/head would be bad.

Classic. I like the guy blowing on the engine while the engine was in full burner mode.

Reminds me of one time I was at a rally and a guy's jet caught on fire with a wet start. I ran over with my halon fire extinguisher as he didn't have one next to him. He was furiously blowing and puffing on the fire with his slimy lips and doing a lot of nothing except hyperventilating. By luck the fire went out as I approached - another guy found an unattended leaf blower left by the neighbor's airplane and puffed it out real quick. Mr. out of breath Tough Guy then tells me, "Don't panic! Geeze!" as he was looking at my extinguisher.

ROFLMAO That's some seriously funny stuffhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif! It's a lot funnier when it's happening to someone else!http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...ssed_smile.gifAnd no model jets were harmed in the making of these videos.

Looks like maybe a stuck starter solenoid valve.<br type="_moz" />

At least these guys tookquick action to put the flame out. Howeverthere are alwaysa few peopleout there who have no concept of what they are dealing with. Here'sone of the bestexamples...

I have seen this before. Everybody ignores the fire extinguisher under the bench. WHY?

Anyway a salutary reminder to have the extinguisher to hand on every start.
