2013 Early Summer Jet Fun Fly – Are you ready for OC-Turbo Fest?
 

It’s that time of year again for the Early Summer Edition of the Oil Creek Flyers OC-Turbo Fest.
As usual we will be there on Friday for anyone wanting to come early with the main day on Saturday.
Location is the Titusville Municipal Airport which is located in beautiful Northwestern Pennsylvania.
Titusville is located equidistant from Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Buffalo

Camping with access to shower and bathroom facility, night time hanger storage for models.

Charging permitted during the day, no overnight charging in hanger for safety reasons.

The airport features a 4900 x 75 foot paved runway with generous clear over fly areas.
Jet A is available on site AMA and Turbine waivers are required.
This is a Jet Flyer's event, no noon time shows, just plenty of all out jet flying.
Donation is $15.00

I haven't blown the dust of my stuff yet this year... but I'm looking forward to it!!


I have a buddy who's just getting into turbines. If he has something ready to fly... can he do some of his waiver flights? (hopefully he will have his waiver before)

Tony, as long as it is early before the main flying I'm sure it would not be an issue.

Well the weather reports still look good, hope that holds. The Airport is cutting grass along the taxi way for setup today. We will be setting up the same way we did last year. You will be able to back up your vehicles to your pit area again, a real plus for flyers. Camping for RV's is also in the same spot. No camp Fires are allowed in the RV area. Bob, aka "Smooth" will be tenting behind the main hanger and doing the camp fire. There is limited power and water hook up. The Terminal has open rest room with shower.
I am planning to be there Thurs night and camp, probably not until sunset hour. If anyone is arriving sooner, please let me know and I can help.
The Titusville Airport Authority is awesome for giving us this venue. They are also having someone do hot dogs and pop on Sat. so please buy some of both. They consider model aviation - Aviation!

The weather is looking like it was made to order. Looks like this could be some of the nicest flying days of summer. Hope you all can make it. Sunny, Flying Jets, Warm, Flying Jets,,Winds Gusting to 5 mph, Flying Jets, the smell of Jet A lingering in the air, Flying Jets,Hot Dog cooking on the grill,Flying Jets, No grass to cut or think about, Flying Jets, . camping, Flying Jets, swaping jet stories, Flying Jets, Not being at work, Flying Jets, going .. Wow ,,, did you see that? And did I meantion.... Flying Jets!
We are going to be thinking nothing but ..................

You guys are going to have great weather! Should be a fun time...always is. I may fly down in the Cessna on Saturday and spend the day reminiscing. If I do I am bringing three George bush pilots to sell for $35 each. Rich I can bring those servos you were interested in if you still want them.
