I have a 180rx spare. Do you think the idle thrust of the 180rx is too much for an ultra flash? If not I can avoid buying an engine specifically for an ultra flash.  Was tossing up between a 140rx or a cheetah for this uf. <div>

The UF has a tonne of drag available, there are people in England with 180Rx's in UF and its no issue...other than the stupid speed possible

I like the stupid speed D :)  However I will use the throttle stick wisely.  My only concern was the fuel capacity and the idle thrust....dont want fast landings....how many mins of flying do you reckon can we get with the 180rx and the stock tanks?  I mean, wing tanks and the center tank.  No saddle tanks.  Are people using the supplied bypass kit?  My first UF didnt have one but I like the idea of a bypassed engine... sounds better too.<div>

As with all turbines, it only really burns lots of fuel wide open, backing off just a little saves fuel. You can often come off the power and carry speed, this saves fuel. Hair on fire flying you will get about 6 1/2 minutes on the stock tanks, mixed crazy and slow and you can easily fly 7 1/2-8 minutes.

Yes, using by pass Its so much better with it fitted!
