Surprisingly enough, it's starting to grow on me already. It is so strange looking but knowing Eric Rantet's designs it probably flies amazingly. I really liked building his kits, it would be nice if all of his airplanes were still available as a kit too.

The older kits just have no tooling any more. Making new tooling for these airframes is just a matter of investment. New shapes and new models is what sells...
It does fly amazingly well and believe me or not but when you'll see it in person, your opinion will change real quick:cool:.

Here is a first video of the plane flying at Jet Power on the product page:

We have the first five production models reserved on the line. There are two slots left for our customers.
After this it will be first come first served.

Dean, I already have some really cool idea's in mind for one. It's funny, I absolutely hated it when I first saw it, I thought holy crap, that makes the Futura look like the sexiest jet out there, but with only my 4th visit into this thread I'm already starting to think what a cool weird looking airplane!!! I have an idea for a paint scheme just eating away at me right now. It would be major work, but would look totally awesome!

it is the most impressive jet I have seen in years!
I couldnt wait to see it fly again.
I am in awe each flight.

I'm in love with this thing. Can't wait to fly it.

sc0tt 09-14-2013 04:55 PM

Call me sick, but I think a wicked flame job transitioning to bones & skulls with the tail having a Vlad the Impaler mural would be insane on this jet. Would definitely get the point across, lol. I look forward to hearing more info about this jet once you & Scott get back.

Just saw the video of it flying. Its very impressive. I love the design. It's cool to see new designs like this for sport jets. Congrats go out to the designer!

What form of Aircraft design is that ?? I have never seem such thing. It appears to be some type of Anal-ian probe to me. Certainly not from this world. Most interesting indeed.

Seen it fly and had a close look at it at Jetpower , what can you say ? It's certainly a radical design and flies great but will have limited appeal I reckon. A custom painters dream!

S_Ellzey 09-16-2013 05:10 AM

sort of looks like the love child of a Gee Bee and a lawn dart

invertmast 09-16-2013 05:31 AM

I like it! Definitely allot better looking than the current Futura style design of jets.

flyinfool1 09-16-2013 06:08 AM

I like it a lot. It is something new and original.
It has gotten to be to rare to see something original out there. So many "new" jets look like a knock off of something else.

I just wish it was smaller, this one wont fit in my house or truck.

LOL, Steve. I actually see that now that you mention it. I still like it though. It's gotta be the most pointy jet I've ever seen. I bet they want some serious $$ for it though.

Hi all !

I was very surprised with the design of this jet : it looks so original and sexy !

I was very intriged, then I saw her fly, and I fall in love ! Very impressive and so easy (as it looks like !). Capable of high speed with the Jetcat P180RX Inside #001 and a real glider as Eric do some aerobatics Inside the demo with engine at iddle (I was scared it was a flame out !). Slow fly is incredible for such a pointed shape, thanks to the big flaps...

Please give me money I want one ! ;):p

Last detail : beside to be a big jet, it can be dismantled in very small parts (below 2 meters long) and can be transported in current cars without problems ! Great ! Wings and stab goes out, rudder goes out from its base, and the nose can also be dismantled in the middle of the length from the canopy to the nose. Very well done !

This plane was "the thing to look at" during this JP edition !!!

myersflyers 09-17-2013 01:42 AM

Growing on me, seems to look better inflight!

3dean 09-17-2013 02:05 AM

You either love this plane or hate it, don't feel bad either way.

3dean 09-17-2013 06:47 AM

correct sir

AndyAndrews 09-17-2013 07:19 AM

Someone should do a Starwars theme paint job on it. It would be over the top. Like shinny silver.

John Tancock 09-17-2013 07:59 AM

Captain Scarlet came to mind, not that would mean anything to anyone outside of the UK, but it reminds me of the “Angels”!
See if I can find a picture!

I have one Diamond on order... would love to see some interesting schemes being simulated on photoshop. :) My good friend Ralle is already working on a super hot scheme for my diamond when it arrives. :)
