Jet T-45 Hawk elevator servo problem
 

Hi everyone
I bought I jet t-45 hawk with jetcat p140rx engine and it has two elevator servo above engine pipe and after the landing I notice that the servos are really hot with temp over 60c is it normal or I have to do something. I hase two jr 8711 snd they are good on the ground and not pending. Hope to have solution

You could put some foil tape over them, to reflect the heat. I did that in my small T-45 on the rudder servo.

What kit ?? ( Manufacture ) Size ?

Sorry sir but I don't know what manufacture is it because I bought it used and I don't know the company made it.
It should have p100 but it has p140

Throw some ceramic blanket and as well as the Aluminum tape.

I think you have the Skymaster/Extreme 1:5.5 scale Hawk/T-45. If it has the original equipment tray up front( cockpit ) the plywood will be embossed with the Skymaster name/logo. I have that airplane myself and it sounds like the same set up. 2 servo's ganged up driving the single stabilator rod for both stabs. I have my pipe wrapped with BVM Heat Blanket and foil tape wrapped around that at the servo/arm location. I do not have foil tape in the fuse covering the servo's because of the arm movement. The rear former/pipe centering ring helps hold the blanket.tape secure around the pipe once installed. Have not had any problems at all. Running JR 8611's on separate channels and mixed in the radio. You need to use an amp meter to set those up to check amp draw on the servo's. You do not want the servo's fighting each other. Check the load in nuetral as well as in transit. You just have to find the sweet spot.... The servo's are reversed in the radio. Travel/ATV and sub-trim numbers will not likely be the same on both channels. Take some pictures of what you got, I would be interested to see what I think you have.
