ServoCity

Anyone here ordered from http://www.servocity.com ?
It appears they market more to the robot hobby, but their prices on Futaba servos are pretty darned good.

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with them?

Yes, I've ordered from them quite a bit. Their prices are good and I've always gotten great service and fast shipping.

Excellent!
I am pretty impressed with all the accessory brackets and mounts they have on that site too. Looks like some of that stuff could be used to solve some tricky control geometry problems in our models too.
Thanks for the reply.

I ordered about a bunch of servos from them today, and I will let you guys know when they arrive.
Maybe I will even get pics of the candy. :)

warbird72 11-04-2013 07:36 PM

I have used the company once so far. I had my item in a day.. The BR3000 futaba battery checker. Very good people. And you get free candy with your order..

straitnickel 11-05-2013 05:10 AM

yes, they have been good to deal with and I remember fast shipping too.

S_Ellzey 11-05-2013 05:59 AM

We use them at times here at work on UAS programs. The boxes get opened by receiving to make sure that nothing hazardous in there, and again by the buyer to make sure that it is all there, and amazingly last week my candy was still there!

warbird72 11-05-2013 06:25 AM

Wow can you get me a job?? lol

I have always had good experiences with Servo City and they sometimes run specials that are hard to beat.

I have delt with ServoCity almost since they stated. They started out as BTR Robotics. Of course I live in Winfield, Ks where they are located. If I need something I just go out to their new building I have known Brian and his dad almost as long. I have yet to have a bad experience in my dealings with them. And by the way Brian is a darn good modeler

VF84sluggo 11-05-2013 12:09 PM

Big fan of Servo City! It's where I go for servos and extensions. As has been mentioned, good prices, fast shipping, just great people to do business with.

RC

bcovish 11-05-2013 12:46 PM

Besides a dent in my wallet?

I have a Sebart Avanti S on order.
No time to build, so I broke down and bought an ARF.

ARF! Oh how the mighty have fallen

No time! I measure progress by plate tectonics, I am trying to get my stingray paint touchup done before California breaks off into the ocean.

Sorry for the technical term, here is what I am referring to:

LOL! gotta remember with Kevin if it doesn't meet his standards, he builds so there isnt any screwing around with them post production, just fly... i am not sure what was left original on that 339 he did years back.

Kevin

I'll be catching up with you in the new year on some things. should have some clear space at the house soon.

patf 11-07-2013 06:49 AM
