Help required please….. A new Elite Aerosport Shockwave has a place in the hangar next season. Thats a given! The difficulty is choosing which of the new fantastic colour schemes I should choose. The new schemes are featuring some really intense metallic colours. Here are some renderings of my shortlist. I hope to have some factory photos soon, to get a better idea of what they will look like in the flesh. As well as the new and improved paint in the mould finish, the latest Shockwaves have loads more prefab work done at the factory so build times should be much reduced. Things such as pre joined tanks, pre hinged/ fitted nose gear door to name but a few. I will probably go for a lightweight set up on the next one, with a high power output 160 can size turbine. Probably a Jet Italia or B220 again.. Not sure yet. I will just run a power safe RX on this next one with no power box, or if I do.. then a simple unit like a cockpit. No smoke this time, I really want to keep the weight down and set one up as light as possible. I have flown plenty of them with the big block Mammoths/ P-200 set ups, and they go great. I now want to try one at the bottom end of the weight envelope and see what difference it makes. Anyway, your feedback on colours will be appreciated. Discowings. Can I save you the time and keypad wear and tear? We know you have a beef, we know what it is and you have made us all aware of it numerous times before. Any chance of leaving this thread on a positive for as long as possible and not posting? There are platy of other threads out there for you? That would be much appreciated, thankyou. Regards Al |
Ali,
I picked Orange but I changed my mind.... I like the Purple !! Scratch one Orange and add one Purple. I know I know.... Worst than a women arranging furniture in the living room !!! :):) They all look great !! +1 on the Disco.. Danno |
I'm sure you will pick some funky green or yellow but I like the blue :)
And +2 on the disco tard |
Every model I've had that was green has crashed, or gotten damaged early. (bad luck)
All my orange models, live a long life.... So I voted Orange. |
Yellow and Black all the way! You should be able to see it in any weather!
|
I'm partial to a White and Red US NAVY trainer scheme, oh wait... that's not on the list!
Well then the next one would be either the orange or the blue... decisions, decisions... |
Well I went for the Red but it was a hard choice as all looked very nice.
|
The shockwave looks good in any color but yellow just seems different.
|
Hi Ali.
Yellow with a nice trim is always easy to see and easy on the eye's. Cheers Mav |
Jet Italia
vinny caratozzolo |
Viper Yellow tickles my fancy.
Rcpete |
Choose whichever color scheme you like best, I'm just glad you spelled "scheme" correctly. :D

Hey Ali,
Here is a couple of pics of the latest Shockwave, a lot of new features. My favorite is the new seamless paint schemes. Definitely you will be very happy. It's is the Ultimate Sport Jet all the way around. More pics and info coming. Pablo |
Looks good Pablo
|
Looks better than good Bob O! Wow, Pablo. Is that a custom painted on the outside SW that a painter has done for you? If so what is the cost of this service as that metal flake silver looks amazing and having it de seamed like that and the scheme on the intakes run all the way to the front looks superb. I would love to get my next one finished like that if its not too much extra cost.
|
Would love to see some pics of the whole plane - the teasers look great but stop teasing us!
|
Straight from factory as seen! No upgrades in those pics - just the latest kit straight from the box. Lots more nice little bits done across the airframe too.
The Shockwave has come of age!! |

Ali,
That is exactly how it comes right out of the box. Sorry about the Tease pics Andrew. Some complete pics and all the details will be posted today. I'm very excited about these latest Shockwaves. They are a step above the rest. Here are a couple more: |

Hi Ali,
You have to try FrankTurbine lightweight and powerful FT250, with very fast acceleration :D http://www.frankturbine.com/produkte/strahlturbinen/ft-250/ Rgds Mikaël |
