It would be very helpful if you are definately going to compete to go ahead & submit your Registration.
Please, in any case, give us some notion on this Thread if you may be planning on competing in the Qualifier?
As noted above if there is going to be 7 or more entering the Qualifer we have to make arrangements at the Airport, AMA, Judges, etc. etc.
Thanks for your consideration, Rogerhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1990728

I'm in, Andy is in. I'll ask Scott, Jason, and Dave at Top Gun but I'm sure they are in too. If a couple of more folks are interested, we will need a qualifier.

Jim

Roger,
The new limit of entries per country is 8, to include 2 "wildcards". "Wildcards" defined as those pilots that have NEVER competed at a JWM event.

Art

It has been recommended that the Registration cutoff date for the Qualifier be changed from July 30, 2014 to June 15, 2014.
This change will permit ample advance time for competitors, callers, judges, family members, airport staff, etc. to plan their vacation time & budgets. The earlier date should also aid in the attraction of potential Sponsors.

This consideration has been reviewed and approved by our Ad Hoc Committee so the Registration Form & entry fee submittals must be post marked no later than June 15[SUP]th[/SUP].

Roger Shipley 05-13-2014 08:51 AM

The new rule regarding the maximum number of team members per Country is 8 however 2 of the 8 must be JWM Rookies.

Rookies will & I quote from Philip Avonds the IJMC Technical Advisor:
“The rookies have exactly the same rights as any other competitor. In other words, they are eligible for inclusion in all classifications.”

We will therefore be conducting a US Team Qualifier if the number of applicants having previously competed in the JWM is 7 or more not counting possible Rookies.
Should a qualifier become necessary a Rookie(s) desiring to be a team member must enter the Qualifier.

Once the 2015 Team is established they will again elect a Team Manager, Team Captain as well as any additional team members, if necessary, up to a total of 8 assuming 2 of the 8 are Rookies.

I quote an explanation note from Jason Bauer:

Roger,

"I saw you updated form. The form could be updated to also say Team of 8 to include 2 rookies. Alternates could exist for both Veteran spots and Rookie spots. Thus, better ensuring a full compliment of 8 going to Germany."

Have a great weekend.

Warmest Regards,

Jason

Thanks Jason, Roger
