Custom color schemes on MacBook Pro

Any tips how to create custom color schemes with a MacBook? What's the best software for these types of projects?
Thanks, Jay

Adobe Illustrator and or Photoshop are the best on a Mac. Import your plain black and white 3 view drawing and create layers and templates to make the paint scheme. Over simplified instruction but thats the idea.

I can try to find a 3 view drawing, but I was thinking about manipulating existing pictures. I've done it on my old Windows computer, but was thinking there must be a program made for this sort of thing.
Thanks, Jay

Photoshop and Illustrator is what the pros use. You can try Sketch or Photoshop Elements which are cheap. http://bohemiancoding.com/sketch/
