Best in the west jet rally october 15th, - 19th., 2014
It's that time of the year for Best In the West Pre-Registration, Tent Rentals etc., etc., Registration is now OPEN:
Best In the West JetRally will be held on October 15th through October 19[SUP]th[/SUP]., 2014 atthe Elk-Hills Buttonwillow Airport in Buttonwillow, California. Anyone planning on attending, you may pre-register on-line at our website at www.bestinthewestjetrally.com.Pre registration fee is $60, on-site registration fee is $70.00. This year Best In The West again will donate some of the net proceedes to The Make-A-Wish Foundation, we encourage everyone to please make a donation, you can find donation information on ourwebsite. If you would like to rent a Tent, please let me know as soon as possible to secure your Rentals. You may pay on-line through PayPal from our website, you may pay for any rental with PayPal or by sending a check to: PO Box 6672 San Pedro, CA 90734, you will also be able to pay for Pre-Registration, Tents, Tables, Chairs, Hats, T-Shirts, Friday Night Pilot’s Dinner (free to registered pilots), Banquet Tickets, etc, etc. We will also be able to take Credit Cards at the event to pay for Auction Items as well as Registration and Apparel. The Awards Banquet and Auction will be held on Saturday evening at 7:00PM at the field in our 40 X 70 Tent, this is convenient for all Pilots and Crew members who are camping On-Site. Anyone attending the banquet will now be able to fly as long as you like, right up to the start of the banquet. This year's Auction will be great, we have great sponsors that have donated to the show in the past events, we look for great donations for this year. We can't thank them enough. We have 34 Spectacular awards to hand out, nothing comes close to our trophy's. Again this year we will decide on who will win the Colonel Robert Thacker Award, our most prestigious Award given at BITW. Please let us know if you will be attending the banquet, banquet fee is $40.00, the Friday Night Pilot’s Dinner will beheld at the field, All Registered Pilots are free, anyone else who would like to join us for dinner, there will be a $30.00 dinner fee. There will be vendors at the show: Some of our Vendors attending are: Jetcat USA, Kingtech USA, Global Jet Club, and much more. Food concession will be available from Thursday October 16[SUP]th[/SUP]. through Saturday October 18th, serving Breakfast and Lunch. There will be a General Raffle and a Pilot’s Raffle, with lots of good Raffle Items as well as 50/50 tickets, you may purchase tickets on-line or at the Registration Table. Best In the West looks to be the biggest it has ever been this year, please join us and have some fun with us, come fly with the west coast guys, The Cali Crew and Hill Climbers and see how we do it. Lowell, well I told the wife about this event just last night, not sure how we got on the subject LOL! I will be home right before this but will be at Disney world with the Family. I did give a heads up for next year though, im planning to hit all the southeast events and hoping to make this one. May be a nice chance to fly my own plane across country! Good luck with the event again this year!

The BITW website is open for registration, please go and Pre-Register. You may order Tents, Chairs, Tables, Lights, etc., etc., on the website. Tents are filling up, 34 20 X 20's have been rented, if you would like a tent, now is the time to reserve a spot, don't wait until last minute. Hotel: if you plan on staying at the Best Western, rooms are getting limited, Book your room ASAP. We recommend on renting a Trailer or RV and staying at the field to enjoy the late night activity's, renting is available with the information on the BITW website. www.bestinthewestjetrally.com

This year's Best In The West, I have hired for the second time, The Atomic Punks to play for us, by many request to me if I was going to re hire the band for this year. They were awesome and for those who did not stay and listen to them last year, you missed a great show. The Atomic Punks are an early Van Halen Tribute band with songs from the David Lee Roth era. Voted best tribute band for 2013 in the US. They will perform on Friday night after the pilots dinner. All registered pilots are free for dinner, all others who would like to enjoy dinner with the pilots are more than welcome to join us, you may purchase a dinner ticket on the BITW website. I encourage all for this year to stay and watch/listen to the band to support them. If you are a Van Halen fan, you will be very much entertained as they are awesome.
