Setting up "crow" for JR 9503
I have done a search on RCU for the formula of setting up crow on the 9503. The results are not even close to what I am searching for.
I have set it up crow couple other times by someone that posted a step by step setup. Can anyone tell me where I might find it. Who ever posted it years ago made it very simple. Thanks Guys Hoss |
This is how i set up crow on my 9503 for my Ultra Lightening.
go to mix 5 if not in use all ready Make flap the master channel and fprn the slave channel Down at the bottom of the screen you will see fm0, fm1, fm2,ail,ger rud, and mix all the boxes should have the bar in pos 0 position scroll over to fm2 and make the bar go to position pos1 now you have to turn your plane on and then scroll over to the percentages on position1on your transmitter and you will probably have to put a negative amount hope this helps Mel |
Hi Hoss:
Try Dustin Buescher's blog at www.rcjetaddiction.com. He goes through setup on a DX-18, but same setup works on my 12X, DX-18, and my Futaba 18MZ. Should work fine with 9503 as basic software is the same on all the legacy JR stuff. Are you going to be around this Wednesday? I will be in Burlington from about 11 A.M till 4 P.M. and was wondering if you still are using garage door tracks for you trailer racks. If so, I might head your way for some tips on installation. By the way, just finishing up the install on my new Navy scheme Torus.......turned out very nice. I got one of the "good" kits when Trish was running the $995.00 special. Best kick-around, high performance, any-time jet there is, IMO. JC P-140 RX and DreamWorks Electric Gear and Brakes. Regards.....Tom |

Regards.....Tom Good to hear from you I just bought a new Navy scheme Elan w/ a new Kingtech 140 and dreamworks gear (Electric) Nice setup. I had Crow in my last Elan and XL and I sure don't remember how to set it up. There was a NICE post about 2 years ago on how to program Crow in a 9303 and a 9503. I just can't find it. That's why I posted here. Sorry but this Wednesday I am busy. I will save some garage door tracks for you on my next install. TAKE CARE Tom and say Hi to the boys......... Hoss |
I had this saved in a word document. Im sure i copied it from a post here. Hope this helps.
Crow setup for 9303 Ok, here we go. I am going to start with setting up a brand new model. 1) Enter System Menu (hold "ENT" and turn readio on). You should know how to set up the Model Name and Type Select. 2) Under "DeviceSel", select "Flight Mode" and then selct "Flap SW". 3) I have the following switches activated: Gear - Act, Flap - Sys., Aux2 - Inh, Aux3 - Act (brakes), Aux4 - Act (smoke and I have it using the "BUTN" switch. 4) Hit "List" 4) Now go to "Wing Type" 5) Wing type is set to "Normal" 6) Go to Dual - Aile and select "AUX2". This automaticall sets up Aux2 as your opposite aileron. 7) Now, hit "ENT" 8) Set up your "Flap Sys" to your desired settings. Adjust both your flaps and elevators to the desired throws. 9) Now, the only mix you have to do: Go to mix 1 or 2 (multi-point mixes), and set up a "Flap to FPRN" mix. The diagram on the right will show your flap and aileron (or flaperon) settings. The horizontal line is ailerons and the vertical line is flap position. As you adjust your flap switch, you will see the vertical line move across the diagram. Here are my settings for this mix: Point 0 -60 Point 1 INH Point 2 INH Point 3 0 Point 4 0 Point 5 0 Point 6 0 The -60 above shows how much aileron I have for my crow. I hope this helps a little for those trying to do this. It is hard to try and piece together pieces of information to do what you want. |
