I think they're termed Dzus fasteners. Tons on the interweb...

Dubro had a clever product. they were 1/4 turn like a dzus but different. I think it is long out of production.

Try this: http://www.camloc.us/
or this: http://aircraftproducts.wicksaircraft.com/category/dzus

I recollect Dzus-fasteners were the name. Clue is they were a lot smaller than the usual. Great for model-use!

Try Skybolt.com. As I have see such latches for rc boats on ebay. They use these types on there hatches

The last time I had purchased dzus fasteners I got them from aircraft spruce and speciality, the smallest size.

you also need the spring

what is the head diameter in the smallest version? 3/8 or 1/2"?

I have a design for 1/4 turn fasteners at model sizes (1/4" head diameter and smaller) that i just need to draw up in CAD to get quoted. They would be more like camloc than dzus and probably sold in sets of 10, as i would have to order 1,000 of each piece at a time.

The only thing keeping me from doing it is the lack of known demand for them.

I used this for my racing boats and this works grate for all watter condition and vibration made by aeromarine rc boats.

I finally got around to CADing up my 1/4 turn fasteners and printing a bunch off. If anyone is interested in some, PM me.

Did you ever make those 1/4 turn fasteners you had designed?
I am interested in them. I started down the same road and have had all kinds of problems.
