Anyone try one of these yet? Looks like a smaller Reaction 54.

Wow! With all the design technology and structural strength of a .40 sized prop plane! That tail section will fly off right away! Who are they kidding? Is this another off-shoot company of FEJ?
At least that girl in that annoying message box that follows you as you scroll up and down is cute. Well, kind of cute. |
It's a shame they couldn't have beefed the structure up and made it a little larger and sold it for a reasonable price. They would have had a winner.
|
What is that ? A lunch box ? If that is supposed to br a trainer, it must be for blind people that can't see how ugly it is. ;)

You guys are cracking me up. LMAO

One of the funniest threads I have seen in a long time.
Great stuff. |
Im going the wait for HobbyKing to release this one at the same time their engine is released and then....NOT buy either :)
Erik.. Does your Firebird have fixed gear too? lol |
I see redwing rc is selling them now. I would buy one to get my turbine waiver but it only takes a 60n engine. don't think I would want to spend the money on a 60n turbine then never us it again.
if it was sized for a 100n I would buy it. probley be the cheapest way to get your waiver. I still looking for a beginner jet but it has to be for a 80-100 engine |
Did anyone else read the reviews? Hilarious!
"hits 200 mph easily any any jet motor. This thing takes 30 Gs and flies just like a piper cub. This my favorite plane ever" |

I have a K100G in a Navy Cat. Around $650 with the gear. I have really enjoyed it. Pitot indicates touch down at around 30mph. Will get nasty hops if landed too fast though so not the absolute best trainer jet.
|
does the navy cat handle grass fields well.? do you think the k100 is to big for it. any advise on the kit build and flying it.?
thanks |

thanks I think the 100 is just right! could I blow it apart with the 100? Probably. I don't do full bore dives and don't pull lots of g's at high speed. I have clocked mine at over 180mph and all has been fine. I have been pleased with it. There are no instructions. You have to figure some of it out but there is a very good build thread for the Navy Cat on RC Groups. |

Light weight ,short take off and very low speed landing. With K-60g I can do anythings except Knife edge.Very suitable for training
The best thing is it's ready to fly with in 5 minutes and no retract problem. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2141302http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2141301http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2141300http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2141299http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2141298http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2141297 |
Bruce Tharpe (wasn't he the reaction designer?) did a great job on that planform to see that even produced like THIS it'd still fly.
Sure it has changes, I guess to make it uglier or cheaper to produce (I wonder which), but the original concept seems to come through... |
