U. P. 3. Retract valve

1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys
I have this valve but each function has 2 nipples ( doors close has 2 nipples / doors open 2 /strut up 2/ strut down 2).
Can I remove the 4 top nipples and use just the side ones?

Also so how would I close of the other 4. Thread type metric or inch
has anyone else done this ? http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2058430

thanks
izzy

those air lines connect to air cvlinders that have two nipples and both up and down lines connect to one cylinder to obtain the extended and retract operation. one cylinder will be required in each wing so two nipples. one left one right your choice.
The control valve is a very good one.

I have done that a few times on a jet that just had a nose door and no main doors. I put a piece of air line on them with a plug.

And/or,,, you can use one set of nipples to the nose and the other set of nipples to the mains (split to each main with a tee). If you want to plug off unused nipples, just use a short piece of airline (safety wired) that is plugged with a shorter piece of 4-40 push-rod.

I think I saw the threaded plugs on dreamworks site. If not, maybe it was robart's site.

HI, if you have some unused pop rivets, you can remove the rivet part, and use the bubble end of the nail as a perfect plug. Just side the plug into 1'' of air line , to seal the unused barbs.
Or you can install 2 lines, to a 3 way tee.
