for all Turboprop lovers
I have build a Turboprop with a jetcat P20
New Videos with Engine Mount. power: 20x10 Prop @ 6850/min https://youtu.be/ULCH8z_jgrA |
|
Thats amazing work. Well done! I would love one of those if they ever became commercial viable.
Regards Al |
Well, we are working on that. It will be a direct fit to P20's. Simply replace the exhaustnozzle with the Turboprop. No drilling or changes on the P20. We start testflying soon.

This will be grate for my giant build of Pucara airpline.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2081351
|
Thats great news. Please keep me informed. Also. Will you look at fitting it to different turbines of the same size? I was thinking of the Merlin 35 when it becomes available.
|
Should be possible but depends heavily on the engine data like massflow egt. ....

Very interesting!
|
That's awesome! How much thrust were you getting with that 20" prop?
Drew |
I would love to have one. Already got a p20 sx!

hello
put me on the list i m building a pc-6 porter 120 inch should fly her pretty scale fafa |
Hello All,
I am building a Pilatus porter with a Jetcat SPT5 turbo prop. Which is the ideal size of 4 bladed prop for this engine and where will I get it? Can anyone help me in this. Thanks Yash |
Power, I have not measured. But different calculation Software give figures between 9-10Kg of thrust. The engine weight with Mount is 1,45Kg, but this is prototype. Serial one will be lighter. I am going to Setup a PC 6 with 2,7m wingspan http://shop.pichler.de/pilatus-porte...u-flugmodell_3
I will post Videos as soon as they are availible. |

Drew I like this calculator because it allows for temp & altitude variations, multi-blade props and gives estimated flying speed, static thrust and tip speeds and more. Nice Turboprop! |

https://youtu.be/uTEOPSM_3qM finally some flying. Pilatus PC 6 with 2,7m wingspan and flying weight of 9Kg with 1 Liter fuel. |
Nice! Well done!
I very much want one of these if they become available for sale. |
hello
any chance to get one working with the new K-45G from kingtech can be a good combo and cheaper than the K-60TP or wren 44 |
That's very cool.
|
Why were the videos removed? Are they not going to make these?
|
I made some new videos. This is a production unit now, and some of these are under testing now.
They will be availible soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jF1_E4Gdyo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvKKJJ8T7jA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o93hx7AXVf4 Thrust right now is around 8-9Kg |
