JetLegend/BVM F16 question..

Poor quote but... "To bypass or not to bypass.. THAT is the question" ?

Any opinions welcome, power is a Wren 160K Pro ;)

Scott,

No experience with that particular model but having a couple with and a couple without I would say that I'm more comfortable with the bypass. My Global/JL L39 with no bypass is reluctant to open its doors until you throttle back leading me to believe that the pressure inside the fuselage is lower than outside with the motor sucking.

For this reason alone I would go with the bypass. Also with a kero start engine if you do get a failed start you stand a chance of containing the kero inside the bypass/thrust tube and can tip it out the back.

Malcolm

OK thanks!

I don't use a bypass in my own F16 - no problems at all with gear or doors.

Cheers

Jeff

Thanks mate

I think really the only one that will fit in the supplied bypass is a cheetah sized motor. The larger can (k140,p140) motors will not fit. That being said, I've been running a p140 in mine for the past year without bypass with no issues

I have the exact same set up no bypass needed but flying from grass does let it build up in fusehttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2078990

I have about 100 flights on my BVM F-16 no bypass and no problems

The included bypass is crap and small. I just used the lower half of the bypass to catch anything that might leak out the engine and left the top open.

Hi guys, I like the looks of this jet but there's not much feed back on how this later version F16 flys? would a P140 be enough power, and would it handle grass field operation ok?
