gopros on your jets

Hey guys, how are you mounting Gopros to your jets? I don't want to have to put one of those sticky pads down and then break something when I want to peel it up. Thanks

I find my Gopro to big/bulky and expensive these days for my models so I use mobius action cameras. The quality is fantastic (unless you need 4k) and the size is much more reasonable for sticking on a model. $70 instead of $500. I have a few of them now so I can film the flight from several angles to compile a more interesting video

The 3M VHB tape that gopro use is absolutely awesome and I have never had a problem removing it from anything from flat finishes to glossy finishes. Just twist it off instead to trying to lift it off. I use the same tape to secure my Mobius.

Watch in full res to see the quality...

Hey Steven!

I didn't want to use the super strong sticky pads. So, I used that mount, but used 4 hex head servo screws and mounted it between the bottom tail fins. Or, I put it in the cockpit. Yes, there are small screw holes now in the bottom, but who is going to see it, but me? I haven't figured out a good way to mount it on the top of the jet, so, I don't.
