Too Good to be true??
About 10k in new jets for $1900. Offered him cash and would pick up both jets in the morning. One of the first offers. Wish he had at least responded. Looks lagit, but I thought buying both jets would have sealed the deal. I guess not:(

Saw that too, first came out...looks like some offered more than asking price and he took those offers.
Like 10 offers total....LOL |
Those kind of deals always make me suspicious. If you did get your offer accepted, I would try to check around to see if anyone had that kind of jet stolen. It doesn't make sense to me why someone would price is so low that they are sure to leave $100s on the table. Even the offers above asking price are lower than what could be obtained with proper pricing. Maybe he is going though a divorce and needs to liquidate fast . I have seen that situation before.

It's weird though, he has really good ratings so it must be real. I needed that P100 so badly:( |
I can't understand why anybody in their right mind would want to sell an airplane that cost $4,000 to put together with servos and turbine including receiver , and brand new and unflown for $1300 ! can you ?
|
I have bought more than one jet complete, servo's, turbine, etc for around $1500. Jets that were much higher value than the BD5 has been. Fact is, selling sucks right now, has for a long time. If you want to move stuff, it's easier to just put a rock bottom blow out price on stuff and get rid of it than it is to deal with all the low ballers, particularly if you don't want to go through the hassle of shipping. The guy has good feedback, he's posted in threads on RCU about those very 2 airplanes, look at it as somebody got a great deal, nothing more. I've thought many times about selling jet stuff but the fact is it's just not worth it these days. Everyone wants stuff for nothing, doesn't matter what it is. He likely could have got more, but if he got what he asked and he's happy then who cares.
Nothing to gain by questioning it. Not long ago I posted a similar thread but never commented about to good to be true because it was a well known modeler or RCU that blew stuff out for bargain basement prices, roughly 1/6th of what they COULD have got. Sometimes you know what you really want bottom dollar and the hassles of trying to get fair market value just aren't worth the extra money. |
Pay it forward.....good karma and someone gets a great deal.

i noticed the add disappeared promptly ,usually the adds are marked sold for some time,,,,,,,,,,,Hmmmmmm

My most precious commodity next to free time is room... I have given stuff away just for the room. |
If that was indeed legit and I saw it soon enough I would have hung a "gone fishin" sign on the front door and hit the road that minute to go get them.

What are you talking about.... The ads are right there marked "sold". What's the big deal.

I know lots of times people get inundated with emails about good deals, but what bugs me is when you send one or more full price offers and lengthy emails to the fellow offering to come by within 12 hours and pick everything up and get absolutely nothing in return! Personally, if someone takes the time to email me with a legitimate offer, I will always try to email them back with at least a simple "sold"...just seems like the right thing to do. Now if someone sends me a one-liner lowball offer, I might not be so quick to respond if I had a full inbox.
