Jetcat Total Time Reset Issue
I've got several Jetcats, and normally if you replace an ECU (V10) it will reload the data from the engine, including total time etc. On one of mine, I have swapped the ECU, and on startup it goes through the usual routine of reloading log data etc, however the engine total time counter is at zero. Have tried a couple of different ECU's with the same result. The engine time is recorded by the ECU but also saved to the engine, and normally it comes up again just fine after an ECU swap. Anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

I have seen it were software versions are not the same between ECU and front board, maybe going backwards on . Numbers or letters.
i just note the overal time, not sure you can recover it. |
Thanks Dave, Intairco have asked Jetcat, so we'll see what they come back with.

I have seen that happen with the V6 ecu too

Subject to anything Jetcat might come back with when they return from summer break (I say in the middle of an Australian winter!), as Dave suggested it doesn't look like you can recover the total time when this happens, however you can connect the old ECU that last had the data correctly held to a GSU and read it off that (just don't connect it to another turbine first). I had returned that ECU to Intairco, but they were able to load it up and read off the time for me.
As to why it happens and what can be done to proactively prevent it, hopefully Jetcat will provide some answers and I'll post here if they do. Cheers, Colin |
