What is wrong with Festo?

EDIT oh does "not festo" mean not a "push to connect"?

I think I got mine from GBR jet. He does not advertise them on his webpage, but they work like the robarts but are 4 mm. email him.

I have metal ones from I think McMaster Carr but will have to check. I bought a bunch of different kinds a while back. I will check when I get home.

matt festos have teeth the easily damage from constant removal and the airline takes a beating as well.

plus i was going to order some larger easy to see air gauges from mcmaster

was also looking for the pressure gauges like nice big one on the JMP multivalve setup. Looking for something like it on the above site as well

I have 4mm quicks, but festos are awesome. I been using them since 2006 with no issues. I have 4mm everything., gauges, etc

I'm still using gas start engines & use the SMC KK series quick disconnect in
4 mm for the gas line (not using on-board gas).

I had some stock of these from a while ago, can order more if needed, very high quality twist to lock 4mm OD air line connectors.

hey Scott when you send me the gear could you include those quick disconnects I will need four total for the wing/gear connections. Let me know how much they cost I can pay asap. Starting to get a little cool here so it's building weather!

I have used Festo's forever in my jets for any fuel connection whether it needs to be connected/disconnected over and over or not and while they have the metal teeth, I have never had any hose wear to the point that I needed to replace it due to leaks including my air line fills. Maybe there are cheaper copies of festo's that cause an issue but the actual festo connectors I've used have never done it. I've used Festo's on propane connections, air start connections, fuel connections and airlines for retracts without any issue. The only time anything has ever been an issue with one is if the end of the hose isn't cut at a square angle but even then I've found they have to be pretty crooked to cause a problem.
As for quick connects that aren't festo, I had some metal ones at one time but can't remember who made them. They weren't what I would call "Quick connects" as they screwed together, but they didn't leak at all. I believe I got them at an electrical supply house, not sure why they sold them, but I am pretty sure that's where they came from.

LG I understand the festo work I prefer the turn lock if I can get them.

Search for luer lock fittings on mcmaster.
