New jet ARF vendor?

TopRCModel
I first heard of them from Mike at F3AUnlimited when they introduced their 2m Caelus composite pattern plane for $999 (amazing price for a composite 2m, compared to Oxai and BJCraft)
The quality of construction and flying were very good, the only negative was that they were just a bit heavy and need attention to hit 5Kg flight weight max.

They now have a Cougar for $995

I saw them at this past JP. They seemed okay from the quick look we had with them; and would probably be a decent model once complete, but only time will tell once they become available.

I get warnings that all of those pages are high risk when I click them.

I didn't get any warning in Chrome.
I also ran www.toprcmodel.com thru scanurl.net and it came back OK.
I apologize if there is a problem.

Are these TB Model EDF jets or are they totally new manufacturer?

Bob_B 02-07-2016 08:01 PM

Totally new ALL compisite

Not sure I trust a vendor that can't even get their own photos correct on the site. Backwards.

MODS: Speaking of which, you guys should mention to someone that the L-39 at the top of this page suffers from the same affliction :-0 (at least you're not trying to sell me an L-39 tho)

From what I recall, some of the people at TopRCModel were once affiliated with ESM, but started a new comoany
I only stumbled across these new jets while looking at the new (lightweight) v2 Caelus 2m F3A plane

I've flown one of the warbirds, it was a nice kit and flew extremely well.

The jets are coming in the next batch from what I understand and yes they will be at Toledo

Which one did you fly?

How well did the electric retracts perform?
