3D Laser Scanning

Does anyone know of somewhere in the UK where I might be able to send an item off to be 3D Laser Scanned so that I can enlarge it and then print it off on a 3D printer? I am scratch building a jet and the parts in question are the undercarriage legs and smaller detailed parts like pitot probes.

I can think of several, but the cost is eye-watering. I just had a small prop blade scanned - £375...

There are some companies who offer a rental service, not sure how accurzte it is but it might be interesting for your project

A scan is usually not good for anything but to use as a base for reverse engineering. So if you have access to someone with the cad skills, it is often as good to just start modeling the parts from scratch. Always try to model from the full size, or from factory blueprints. Scaling up a smaller rc model or plastic model, should be the last resort.
