Mississippi Afterburner 2016
The 25th Mississippi Afterburner will be April 21-23. 25 years...I'm getting old. Full scale runway, 6000', on site fuel and oil, lots of RV parking, best Sat nite dinner anywhere including 5 flavors of home made ice cream and 3 flavors of home made cobblers, breakfast on Friday and Sat mornings by chefs Dawn and Bob-O, pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs. The FAA in their infinite wisdom has changed our taxiways which affects our tents so if you want a commercial tent, call me so I can tell you the set up. 601-955-3826. This event is a fundraiser for the A&P dept of the college who owns the airport. This scholarship fund has allowed some student to enter or continue the program where otherwise they would not be able to. So we are having fun and doing some good too. registration sent in tent reserved Hotel reservation made (Hampton) My BIB is already loaded Going to practice flipping pancakes in the coming weeks. Planes are ready providing nothing happens to them at FJ Will arrive early afternoon on Wed. (20th) |

No Visa needed for Mississippi but you will the password and a gate key to enter Texas on the way to MS |

YEP, room has been booked for a month now! My favorite event of the year...low key, full scale airport and good friends. I think we have several GA Jets guys coming back too. Mike P, Joe R, Gordon D, Craig G and me for sure.

FYI, looks like the Hampton Inn is already sold out. Glad I got mine early. The rest of our crew were able to get the Holiday Inn next door though, with no problem as of this past weekend. Just a heads up...you better get rolling on a room if you plan on going to this. Someone was thinking there was a large function on the college campus the same weekend...maybe not.

Last time I got a hotel room there a tornado took the roof off and flooded the place... I think we'll just stay at the field, I feel safer there. There ain't no tornado gonna mess with Michelle's airport !!! We'll be there Wednesday afternoon after we tear them a new one at the casino in Vicksburg Tuesday night. Hope there's room in the trailer for all our winnings !! :eek:

Hey Vern can you fly Wednesday or just setup to start flying Thursday? Looking forward to the event again. I have to make up for only getting two flights in last year.
