I know this is a bit off topic. Went to a jet rally in Canada last week and here is some of the pictures. I didn't take them.
The picture of the F104 with the red tail, the Leonard and the Skyblazer F86's belongs to Scott Marr Go to post #9 in the link below. Be sure and go to page 2 and see a 104 hoping over a glider sitting on the runway. The 104's rudder locked over to the left in flight and the pilot (Ali) really had to fight it back to the runway. When it touched down the rudder took over and Ali was just along for the ride http://www.rccanada.ca/rccforum/showthread.php?t=442065 |
one of the finest flying sites in the country, you won't be disappointed if you make the drive. Very low key, relaxed flying and socializing throughout event.

Buck, go to the Wingham jets thread that I started. Really great pictures

Bob-O, you will get nothing and like it !!!.... :) P.P.S... As for you Ronnie, you know what has to happen for you to get any portions !! ( Anything chocolate will be fine ) :) |

Clay |
So what's left to bring. hmmm
Oh I know, peanut butter filled pretzels and a bag of pistachios |
Sounds like so much fun, but just way too far from Cali. Bob, I'll be sending down some oil your way for the event!
Have fun guys, Barry |
Come as early as you want. The field will be open all week. I know the Arizona and some of the Austin folks will be there the weekend before. I'll be there Sunday or Monday at the latest.
|
Bring some night flyers for some after hours activities.
|
David,, and you other fellas,,
I have some sweets covered,, Got some TWIX, Some Crispers, working on some snickers, Prolly be able to wrangle up some skittles too,, And of course My wife will make a dessert, or two!! And you know what she is capable of!! I seem to remember two pilots making bets against each other to secure the rest of the cinnamon roll cheesecake on the 4th... |
Yup and I won that bet.
But still for some reason had to share with Bob O. There just ain't enough cheesecake to go around. 😢😢😢😢 |
For those traveling to the event in RV's, there are no water hookups but there is a hose bib near the concession stand you can fill up the RV with water before you park. There is a hose there but don't know how long it is.
|
Yes, the water is potable
