Kingtech JMB jets 3m PC-21?
Built up wood/film construction, TP motor mount, 2 piece wings, 2 piece fuselage, bigger than Skymaster PC-21?
https://kingtechturbine.lu/PC-21-Red-Sheme_1 Does anyone know who builds it or anything else about it? |

I have just started assembling mine and wondered if anyone has a photo of the underneath showing where the horns should be fitted to make sure they fix to hard points in the aileron and flap?
Thank you |
Another thing....I was planning on keeping the wing in two halves, has anyone else done that? |

Thank you I think he offers a ready to cover version. Perhaps photos of that version will show the hard point locations? |
That’s true and a good idea. I decided to carry on in the hope of finding a decent fixing and all worked out fine. photo attached.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...26639c95e.jpeg |
How did you find it? Held it up to a light or very small pin pushed into surface? I like the paint on the wheel well...nice touch |
Thanks, I think I’ll paint the inside of the fuselage green as well. I made up all of the supplied linkages and fitted the servos to the mounts leaving little choice of where to fit the horns. One of the screws holding the flap horn on nearest the hinge needs to be replaced with a longer one. |
Where are these kits available from ?

The only shipping method at the time was air. Yes, it was expensive ;) |
Thank you I have found it. Very pricey when converted to my local currency. Maybe for next years budget as this years budget is already taking a pounding at month 5.

https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...8f3766550.jpeg When doing the second wing I wasn’t as lucky and the flap was hollow where I needed to fit the horn. To get around this I made a hole in the centre and filled the area with hysol before reassembling. |
I would recommend checking for slip in the control rods. A couple of my control rod end could slip off the rod with little force. This proved to be because the rods are varied in thickness and some too thin for use. I have replaced all of the rods with M3 studding.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...59085b1bf.jpeg |
Kingtech 60 TP offered into the model and a Sebart Avanti combined kero and smoke tank placed on the CG. Now to decide whether to remove the canopy to switch on and refuel or put them on the https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...0e46b492b.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...a196d6a57.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...9e2966d65.jpeg outside. |
Someone needs to import this one to the USA.

I just bit the bullet and paid air freight, no other option was available. |
Cowl now cut and TP60 mounted. Painting the inside of the fuselage took a few hours but I’m pleased with the finish.https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...803fc5706.jpeghttps://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...a4ff41b58.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...cb3a73146.jpeg |
Nice job Neil - looking forward to seeing it at the field. If your OCD can't handle the exhaust angles I'm pretty sure you could fix it with a hammer ;)
Or have a whack at cutting them to angle like the full size. Funnily enough I'm spending the day at the Pilatus factory tomorrow if you need any close up shots. |
Funnily enough, the exhaust angle is bothering me, especially the way one hangs out further than the other due to the offset. Photos would be great! :)

Neil,
Looks very nice, I have ocd about unpainted internal surfaces too. Alistair Powers |
Are you concerned about heat build up with the K60 vs the K45? A lot of people paint the inside of the nose with BVM heat paint ... which is boring white, I admit. |
I hadn’t really thought about the heat issue as the turbine itself is further back in the nose. I’ll have a think and maybe just monitor it when I first run it up. |
