Aviation Jets

Is Aviation Jets the same company as SkyAviation Jets? Can't find a website for Aviation Jets. Would like information and more pictures of their new Rafale and SU-35.

Digital Pilot 01-11-2017 07:34 AM

www.pacificrcjets.com

They are the exclusive US importer

David Jackson 01-11-2017 07:37 AM

Previously visited that site before opening the thread. Needing more info before buying.

Digital Pilot 01-11-2017 07:38 AM

I would say call Dirk. Im sure he can help you

Mikey5547 01-11-2017 08:03 AM

Skyaviation just looks like flyeaglejet with a different name

Digital Pilot 01-11-2017 08:08 AM

It is most certainly not SkyAviation.

Digital Pilot 01-11-2017 08:20 AM

I have already built an Aviation Jets 3D Rafale, The quality is great, Finish is painted not gel coat, All live hinging, Large Kevlar fuel/smoke with fittings installed, heavy duty Vector Thrust pipe, Hardware is nice with HD ball link sets. gear and doors installed, comes with mounts for servos for the gear door but went with air instead. This one has the lighting kit option installed as well.

Was a very easy build, no grinding or mods needed at all. i will post photos later tonight. I have not gotten a weight yet and will take photos of it together when it stops raining out...

I have seen some fej stuff popping up again on FB and things I was wondering about this as well. I know Dirk told me they had another website for the model stuff they are starting to deal with like SM and the Turbo Foam stuff since GJC lost it. Not sure if this is the site or not, I would contact Dirk or even Gunrad he is with them as well.

Hey Digit Pilot,

I am interested in a new project, and saw the Rafale as a possible subject. The available pictures just don't show some areas that I need to see before moving forward. Since you have assembled this model, would you be so kind as to post a few pictures. I would really like to see the landing gear, jet intakes, and the cockpit.

Not too concerned about the construction of the model, as I believe Dirk and Barry are not going sell anything that doesn't meet their standards. More interested in scale appearance and certainly flight characteristics.

I will get better photos for you. Note, This is a 3D version. There is no intake ducting and no cockpit on this model. The gear are not scale and have small tires to save weight.

I'm not sure if they will have a cockpit in the future or not, you would have to ask dirk.

This photo shows the main gear and without ducting.

They say skyavition bought fej Molds and are a separate company but I find it hard to believe.

Hi David,

Like Digital Pilot said, This is a 3D version plane that is built light and does not have all the scale details you would expect for a scale plane. I talked to the factory and they can get us close to Scale gear and they are looking into some kind of Cockpit. If they provide a cockpit, it will be a basic type cockpit and not a true scale cockpit as this was intended to be a very large, Very light, Very fun, 3D plane. At this time, they are not going to build new molds for a true Scale Rafale.

Aviation Jets is not affiliated with Skyaviation, Aviation Design, FEJ, or any other Aviation whatever company, they are a stand alone company and their quality is absolutely fantastic!! This company was started by some employees of other big name companies, that ventured off on their own and brought Expert Building, Design & Painting skills to the table. Like you had mentioned in this thread, Barry & myself would not partner up with a company unless they produce TOP QUALITY planes, PERIOD!!

The SU-35 is coming along and is very scale, the attention to detail, that you can see below and more pictures on our website is very good. Stay tuned, as the price is going to be nothing like you would expect to pay!! This plane should be released this summer, Hopefully, fingers crossed.

I am also very excited to announce that we have another New plane coming out in Spring called the Sparrow. This plane was designed by our very own, Mr. Barry Hou and brought to life with the collaboration of Mr. John Yi from Aviation Jets. The Sparrow is a 2.1M Sport Jet with a 1.9M wing span. This plane has a very unique design and is nothing like anything already built. I am also happy to say the price point should be VERY attractive along with a standard light kit installed and Split fuel / Smoke tank. You can find more details about it on our website www.pacificrcjets.com

Dirk,

Thanks the information. If you are starting a list of potential buyers for the SU-35, put my name on it.

Digital Pilot 01-11-2017 10:06 PM

Skyaviations is not Fly eagle jets so please get your facts right before comments

Tuggs 01-12-2017 05:33 AM

But you can't neglect the fact that the "skyaviations" planes such as the large Hawk are very lookalike to the FlyEagle Models, especially the landing gear, paint quality and some of the composite / wood work look exactly the same.

Every now and then a new jet manufacturing company surfaces and claims to provide fantastic quality for upcoming models :) Lets wait and see, eh?

gunradd 01-12-2017 06:32 AM

Well lets keep this thread about Aviation Jets. No need to mention those other companies in this thread since they have nothing to do with this.

Very much looking forward to the new planes. The detail in the SU35 is insane!

Exactly!!
Agreed with all points mentioned.

David Jackson 01-12-2017 08:23 AM

After reading Dirk's comment, "...price like nothing you would expect to pay," I am really very interested in the SU-35. Now the wait begins.
