Savox
Any one using Savox servos in their jets?? wish one, what's your experience....
Since 8711 are out and no JR stock I was thinking on the SB 2270SG.... |
Yes please, a comparison will be good.
If anyone can give us a fair comparison between the JR and Savox servo's it will be fantastic.
Cheers, Jan |
I've been using savor 2270 sg in my jets for two years in a 2.5 Futura and a T 1 never had a problem seems to be a better replacement for Futaba 9601 or JR 8711 the savox is more powerful on 7.4 volts than the rest ,and cheaper at 100 bucks apiece you won't be disappointed , go ahead pull the trigger ...MK

+1 Agree 100% with comments above. I'm using Savox in My SM PC 21 and Euro sport. They also don draw as much current as the JR servos.
Enjoy and have a great day Regards JB |
So is the Savox 2270sg a direct alternative to a JR8711?
Is it possible to tell me which Savox servo's are compatible with the following JR servo's; 8411, 8511, 8711 and 8911? Which is the best source for Savox servo's?
Thank you for the help. Cheers, JanR |
SA-1256TG are the ones i am using from Savöx frequently. 20kg torque and very little slop

1258TG for the rest, you won't be sorry Jan.
|
i use 1270 sg's as a comparison for 8411;s and i use 2270 SG's as a comparison to 8711 or 8911 , and they are superior to both.. MK

Best servos out there today in my opinion.
Have fun. |
I have been flying them in gas 3D planes for years and they hold up. I wouldn't have any heartburn about putting them in a jet.
|
Do they make metal servo arms for them?
|
Mike for horns you just need to order futaba spline.
Been using savox for years in jets love them! |
....and the best source for them?
Hi guys,
Thanks for all the info and assurances - definately will give SAVOX a try. But where is the best to buy them from? Cheers, Jan |
I get them from Revo Hobbies here Jan, Not sure who the importer is, I try to support the local shops..

Does anyone know the correct pronunciation (way to say) "Savox"?
|
Sav Ox
|
I have just installed them in my airwrld lightning, not test flown yet, they seem ok but are fairly noisy compared to other brands
|
Savox ran their course in 3D Helis, did not hold up in geartrain slop, MKS is now the GOLD standard in high end servos for helis and large giant scale 3D however pricey,
Savox are the go to for those on a budget. Xpert is making a run at it, this is not your old school JR knockoff they are brushless and really smooth, I been playing with them in 3D aeros xpert-rc Product List Lots of HV options, I like them versus savox at this point. One subject matter I find interesting is there is no sacrificial plastic gear in an all metal gear train, Seems an urban legend subject matter may exist in noise isolation.. I have many other brands that have a plastic gear in metal gearsets. |
I can't remember this much chaos trying to find servos. I wonder what servos are in BVM PNP.
|
Thankfully, there may be a bit less performance demand in a jet. Good info anyway.
|
well, after giving you guys a few days to comment about Sävox and reading a lot of good things about them I placed an order for some 2270 and 1230's today.
