Different models for Xicoy CG meter?

Hi
can we use this thread to share the meassurements
for different models in to the Xicoy CG meter?

I started one on another forum but you could copy paste them here as well. It's in the GJC forum

I don't think its a good idea because any slight variation in retract mount angle, or user variation in straight or trailing link, will affect the distance measurements.

So You wouldnt meassure from the trunion block???

I disagree I think it's good so people can check their measurements. I do think you should always check and I think I mention that in my other thread.

You need to measure from where the weight rests on the scales (generally the wheels) and not from the trunions.

As Harry says, if you use someone else's figures, but have different legs or retract angles, you could end up with dodgy numbers.

Ok

The whole point of doing CG with this advanced gizmo is to get it better then with the finger method. So doing the measurements for the exact setup is mandatory I think.

no, you must measure from the axle centre. If you choose straight oleos and I choose trailing links, our numbers could be markedly different.
