Looks good.
What is the fuel consumption?

Desert Fox 1 09-02-2017 02:08 AM

Justflying1,
Fuel consumption: 300 g / min (10.58 oz/min).

Cheers!

I'm assuming that fuel consumption number is at full throttle?

Desertlakesflying 09-02-2017 08:04 AM

Hmmm....One of these in a Mini T-1.....

Jonboy2,

Cheers!

Question is good as the weight specs on the kingtech site is pretty far of. Don't know if I remember right but it was of by like 0.5lb on the bigger engines.

Don't know if RCJI tests for their own numbers or just grab the manufacturers?!

Hi Henke,

I can confirm that the figures in the RCJI tests are the actual figures measured when running the engine under test, not those supplied by the manufacturer, as I carry out the tests for RCJI magazine.

The KingTech K-70G2 is the subject of the test in the RCJI issue being published at JetPower in around 10 days time, and the K-85G2 test will appear in the following issue, due out in November.

As you will have guessed from this, RCJI has been saved, following the closure of Traplet Publications, and will continue to be published by a new company - more details to follow shortly!

+2 again, since I have a twin to put them in!

good choice of motors for the hsd mirage since it needs more than the stock 60n power

Is 300g/min a correct figure for fuel usage? Vt80 uses 220g/min and only 0.5kg less thrust. Of course it weights a bit more (1050g) but almost 40% greater fuel usage negates weight and thrust advance.

Are KT weights full installed weights w/O battery?

I just put in my order yesterday for two of these bad boys. I'm excited.

Usually, I used to think these were little "girly man" engines! (insert Arnold Swcharzeneger accent here). But these small engines are power houses!
