Hysol in Germany help!!!
all,
i need to find the best and cheapest place to get hysol in Germany. Or what is the best alternative that I can get here. Another option that I was thinking of is I have an APO box and maybe I can order it from the states and have it shipped to the APO address which is us postal. Any help would be great. |

We sell quite a bit to Germany. Since you want 9462, i'm sure
Though APO from the US would almost certainly be cheaper. |

Or if it’s hard to get the hysol 9462 over here what do others in the EU that is a good alternative?

We always have it. It’s the only choice here, but jets need less gluing these days!
Motors and Rotors, Jetcat, Graupner, Spektrum, Heim, Xcell, Zimmerman, SAB, RC model aircraft and accessories |

Another option is to buy it from Holland; that might save some postage compared to the UK.

I might have missed something but Hysol 9462 is legal in Europe. It's just expensive to buy from distributors as it's a formulation developed for the US.

Try to see if you have access to Loctite products, I understand Hysol is an aeronautic composites brand for an existing Loctite product, don’t remember the actual Loctite Stock number, but should be easy to match based on the product characteristics, actually Loctite manufactures this in my backyard! But ironically they are not distributed locally, it is exported to the US and I buy (import) it from the US retailers when I need it
Did a fast search and this is what comes up Loctite EA 9309NA AERO |

An alternative is Araldite, made in the UK, initially by a subsidiary of a Swiss company, now by a subsidiary of a US company. The slow setting 'Precision' one, not the 'Rapid' or the 'Clear'. It is every bit as good as Hysol. Hysol is good, but it only came into prominence in the model jet world because BVM, a US company, same as Loctite, recommended it for their planes. Regarding most other makes, many of them are useless when high strength is needed. They are either very brittle or absorb water and assume a 'toffee' like consistency after a few months.. |
Six10 from West Systems is a great product too, used this exclusively on a high performance jet kit a few years back with superb results, it is thixotropic yet thins when worked so it penetrates nooks and crannies than some thicker products wont achieve.
Cost wise in the UK its far cheaper than 9462. marcs |
