Servos

Good Day

what are you guys using on your jets these days?

I cant get hold of any JR's...

Thanks

Dansy 12-05-2017 05:21 AM

MKS and DITEX (hacker) servo's for me, used to only buy JR servo's.....

w4ste 12-05-2017 05:35 AM

Mks777 ??

Len Todd 12-05-2017 06:07 AM

Typically using Hitec HS5585MH in most of the fleet!

Depends on the jet.....I have used 575SL's, HBL960's, 950's, 1240's, 777, HBL380's, I size the servos depending on the jet and location....

Auburn02 12-05-2017 06:48 AM

Savox, Spektrum, Futaba, Hitec, MKS, PowerHD for me. I don't discriminate. :D

ChuckC 12-05-2017 07:53 AM

Anybody having problems with the real small Spektrum servos on 6 volts and a Jeti receiver?

My JR servos (and others for that matter/analog) are fine, but these mini digital servos are jittery and horribly "toothy" for some reason. Maybe they are only truly happy on 4 volts? They are the H3050 Cyclic servos for mini helicopters; just what they had at the hobby shop.

Was wondering if the Jeti had anything to do with it...tried changing the receiver output, but no effect. Not a big deal; just would be convenient to use the little buggers I have already.

I'm running MKS in everything now.. 777A+ and BLS380 for flight surfaces..

Harley Condra 12-05-2017 09:48 AM

Here's one that I m trying out.
They use a JR plug, and a Futaba servo arm.
Very powerful, and very fast....brushless motor and a steel gear train. They run on 4.8 to 8.4 volts.
They are quite popular with 3D flyers locally...Made in Sanford Fl., about 10 miles from my home.
THey also offer lesser torque servos too.
ProModeler - 470oz-in, Std, BLS #DS470BLHV

ChuckC 12-05-2017 10:16 AM

How are those going? I saw those ProModeler servos before, researched them but forgot before I came back into the market for some more.

Really interested to know how they perform/centering/speed, etc.

On the short list for critical surfaces...

skymaster68 12-05-2017 10:25 AM

I'm switching to SAVOX tired of waiting for JR to be in stock...

Desertlakesflying 12-05-2017 10:26 AM

Savox and PowerHD for me. Have 8 PowerHD LF-20 in my T-One, and they are perfect

Those look pretty good. How long have they been around?

I bought the MKS HBL880 for my helicopter. Really insane thing at 155oz and 0.03sec. If in a hurry getting the flaps down go for MKS X8 :D (they come in a more normal 450oz - 0.1sec range too)

LA jetguy 12-06-2017 05:18 AM

Mks...

Ceeray 12-06-2017 05:49 AM

I will try out the new Hitec D955 TW next, along with Savox 1256tg.

I have a set of their older version of the 420 in-oz brushless, high-voltage servos in my Navy Cat for ailerons and flaps. They've been very consistent on centering for about 100 flights now, with no issues. Great performance for the money.

Springbok Flyer 12-06-2017 05:28 PM

Let's hear more about these....

Sounds and look really good - it will be great if more guys using these servo's can dial in and give us their impressions. Especially performance and reliability. As a addicted JR servo user for many years, I need to find that warm and fussy feeling again....
