pipe question
I'm finishing up a 1/3.65 SM Hawk, & would like to know if I order a 310n pipe, then decide to go with a K260 instead, could I still use my 310N pipe?
Thanks, Jay |

You will get a fairly large static thrust loss as the gasses slow filling the big pipe. Do you know the dia difference?
|
You will have a thrust loss but the 310 was too much power for the plane anyway, so you will be good. Enjoy!!!

I remember someone posted a Jet Cat pipe chart and the 220n to 300n was the same inlet and tube sizes... I don't think there is any differences.

I am sure every manufacture will have different recommendation depend on there exhaust cone sizes. But the Jetcat chart is a good starting point

Thanks guys, IDK the diameters, but I currently have the smaller pipe, & would like to go ahead & order the bigger one, but may get the 260 instead of 310 if it's ready by the time I'm 100% ready

I had a pipe made for a 310 but it was not out yet so used a k210 with no issues or noticeable loss of thrust. I see no problem with it.

Just talked to Joey yesterday. He is making me a pipe for an F84 I'm building. Quick service and great looking pipes.
