The magister
|
Very nice
Looks great
what is the scale ? |
wingspan 2.36m
lenght 1.96 tomorrow we cmose the fuse |
Very cool getting to see the process like that, thanks for the pics! What's the expected weight and turbine size?
|
We plan to go with a Merlin 100) and we should turn out around 12 kg final weight
because we plan to add a maximum of scale details the final weight is maybe a bit optimist but should not be far away from the reality |
Any progress lately? I am very interested to see a finished model and will most likely buy a kit.
|
I am on holiday for one month, here is the last picture of the project. The spectacular job of making the basic airframe is done. The remaining of the job will go a bit slower and be less spectacular.

I would like to give you some clarifications about who I am and about this airplane.
I am the owner of the plane but I am NOT the manufacturer. Znline ( belgian jet manufacturer) bought all the molds of christen diffusion . And this particular fouga is the first one build by znline using the molds. It's the znline fouga magister with serial number ONE I know Jean pierre Zardini very well and this give me the chance to see my fouga slowly growing in the factory. At this time in the process everything you see on the pics is included in the " deluxe version" of the kit including all the extra options available. You can already order it on the znline website |
Either it's not a final decision there is a big chance that this one will be powered by a VT80
|
At an earlier post you mentioned that there is work being done to add extra scale details, if so - how is this the "Final Production Version"?
Other than size, how is it different than Philip Avonds version? |
If you read the fouga kit description on zinline website you will read that a set of 3D printed parts is in preparation to improve the scale appearance .As I said above I am on holidays at this time and fare away from belgium. Meaning I can't go to JP and ask what's in the hoven and what he plan to offer for sale.
I'll be in belgium in the middle of next week and I will be able to give you reliable info about this extra parts kit. What I already know is that some of the 3D printed extra parts will be the base to creates molds and some other 3D printed parts will be the part itself (Hope you understand what I try to explain with my bad english |
I just checked the website, the info about the extra parts to improve scale appearance is only in the french version of the site, it's missing in the english one. I just mailed znline about this concern and I guess this will be corrected soon

Will you be posting a complete build thread?

Will it be as complex a build as the AD kit

check znline.com for the list of available options. About the website I have to admit that the aircraft description is much more clear in french than in english..... I'll talk to JP about that when back from holidays |

You can already order it on the znline website Not moulds from Aviation Design but from Christen Diffusion ;) I had same Fouga in the past and you will enjoy with it. regards |

I come back to you after my hollidays
I discussed with J.P. yesterday at the flying field about the famous extra parts he his developing to improve the scale appearence of the plane. Because that part of the fouga is still in " developement " and he has not yet a precise idea about what will be included in the stock deluxe kit and what will be "optional" I prefer to not give any info yet. Stay tuned |
the model looks very nice. Do you have any update in the meantime. I assume it has flown already ?
Many thanks Franz |
some news about this Fouga project ?
|
as the original writer seems not to respond anymore, I can maybe answer your questions. I have flown my Fouga Magister of ZN Line in the meantime.
https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...475d82b74f.jpg The model looks and flies pretty well. Is not 100% scale but close enough for me. I chose a rather rare german version. Some scale details will be added later. Franz |
Thank yo.
Nice sheme |
