Jetmunts140XBL

Going to put a 140XBL in a T-One Honda scheme jet which I have just brought, for those who run a 140XBL on the suction side 4mm or 6mm pipe? I know on my 120sx in my Hawk I am using 4mm but just thought I would ask with not running the 140 before...

Thanks

Alan

I’m using 6mm pipe from the air trap to a 6mm Festo valve, straight into a 4mm reducer and then 4mm tube to the pump.

I am running that engine in my AD Scorpion with 6mm clear tubing from the tank to the pump.

Take a piece of 4mm tubing approx 5/8” long and push it on to the pump fitting. Then push the 6mm tube over this and safety wire. Done this dozens of times and never a problem.

Running 6mm through to the pump, the festo filter supplied with the 140 is 6mm and
if memory serves me the in side of the pump is 6mm & out 4mm so that pretty much
made the decision for me.

Interesting. Don’t remember either of my 140’s having 6mm fitting at the pump?

Just double checked mine and pump has two different size nipples inlet takes 6mm o/d tube and outlet takes the 4 mm

Don't forget your fittings! Kind of a generic issue regardless of manufacturer. I had 6 mm tubing throughout the suction side, but the vent and tank fittings and the UAT inlets were both 4 mm ID. Had trouble getting the JC 140 to spool up fully and the UAT was partially collapsing during WOT. Also, I had to fill the tanks sloooowly cause they would bulge during fueling. Ended up replacing all suction and vent fittings with high-flow fittings and putting in a high-flow UAT. Currently using 3/16" tygon tube for all runs up to the UAT. Then used 8mm with reducer to 6mm festo line from the UAT to the pump. No more issues and can fill as fast as I want to.

I will check my pump out of interest tomorrow when I get chance, I have gone with Intairco with high flow fittings.

Thanks

The M140XBL and the M200XBL using the same pump have a 6mm inlet and a 4 mm outlet to match 4mm to turbine.

The M100XBL and the VT80 use a pump with 4mm inlet and outlet...

Yep. 6mm into the pump and 4mm out to turbine.

The pumps are the same for 140xbl and 200xbl but I’m pretty sure one of mine (with the 140) has 4mm fittings and the one with the 200 has a 6mm fitting and a 4mm fitting. They look like screw in nipples so maybe the spec for the 140 was changed along the way.

David is correct, the brushless pumps used in the 140XBL are the same as the 200XBL, 6mm inlet/4mm outlet.
