why change a Well proven system for the last 15 years?.
this new Serviceable Air trap system from Digitech.
.High Flow 1500Ml/Minute
.1 tank or 2 tank connection with 6-8MM OD Festo Connection.
.6MM OD connection to your pump.
.all connections are G1/8 Festo Threaded so you can choose from more connections.
.Filling side is done with a 4MM OD Festo (M5 Threaded.
. clamps can be rotated to fit the UAT in any position , or you can leave out the clamps.

all parts can be exchanged!.
check out the test video,s and see that the airtrap still works with more then 2/3 of air introduced into this system.

The uat tank it’s not very important what brand or how it looks like the biggest problem with all the fuel supplies are that the builders use thin vent lines the should use at least the biggest tygon line or 6mm if the uat collapse doing fuel drainage or full throttle turbine operations it’s for sure ventilation problems not the uat even if the uat filter its completely clogged up it will never cost the uat collapse but usually never happens and it’s very easy to fix just regular service and cleaning ,so how the uat looks like or what material is been used to make it doesn’t really matter make sure that your vent work properly and all is going to work great for years.

Back in the day when the choice was the BVM plastic bottle unit and I designed the CAT the whole ethos was to ensure that the fittings, bore and flow rates were all able to support the draws etc and the unit was able to sustain these criteria. If you read Oli's original thread on this which is still on his web site you will see this was an issue I tacked a long time ago.

Fortunately most now ensure fittings are as large as possible so that is a good thing, even now after stopping my involvement in this hobby I still have customers who buy my barbs from me to use in installations as they are still one of the most free flowing for the given metric thread size.

Looking at the images the first video is one of my DCAT units which Sandor 'modified' so I'm flattered ;)

yep no denying there ;-) , first thought to implement the second tube.
we where influenced.
the video is done with your Dcat indeed and removed the Tube and placed the Sock..
since then Intairco is calling me a copy cat , a well i was defending your Dcat ;-).
but with the sock it works just as good.
i dont have to buy more tubes , or gain more weight.
as for thread we used G1/8 for max Flow and no restriction.

Well done on making a good design better.

Fitting that proven and ever reliable strainer that has been used for something like 20 years? can only be a very good idea. They never fail and personally I've seen too many long term restriction problems using those paper looking filters and the things that from the outside look like paper filters.

Jason you must be doing something wrong, my original prototype CAT (before the DCAT) is still in a friends jet running a Jetcat turbine with over 9 years use (never had any issues with pump flow voltage or flameouts) and no issues with the pleated paper filter which incidentally is a fully approved fuel grade unit and designed for use with fuel unlike sintered filters which are primarily for air and not fuel.
