Yes... I use a single 3800 mah 3 cell LiFe... you split the output one straight to ECU... the other goes through a Jeti SBEC regulator adjusted at a steady 8.4... The regulator can be adjusted from 5-8.4v... Works great... Lighter jet flies better ;) David cheers |
I maiden the Wizard S yesterday.. Had 5 successful flights on it. It flies so stable and precise. Its not a speed demon as I expected but still VERY fast. It needed a few clicks of up elevator as I think its a bit nose heavy. Over time I will change the battery to a smaller battery to reduce the nose weight. The Ditex servos work so nice and well so quiet no buzzing at all. It was defenetily an attention grabber with the paint scheme. Not too many people paint their jets as the norm is paint in the mold.

What’s the AUW of the wizard with all that equipment? The model should be overpowered with the 100 I guess. Paint scheme looks outstanding. Just built a similar size rebel hot, should have actually got the Wizard S quality wise. Chatty. |

I saw one of thesep flying, pretty fast (and loud) with no bypass, unless the one I saw actually had a bypass, I did not look inside that one

A Merlin 70 and vinyl graphics would save a lot of weight. I cannot say enough about how nicely made this kit is. Everything fits well and this makes it a fun build. Not a beginner build but a fun one that a modeler will enjoy as it progresses. Danny |
Wow.. that's pretty hefty.. I was thinking of putting a K45 in mine and going as light as possible on the install.

I've ordered directly from JP at ZN Line. He recommends the X45 and it is the turbine he uses in his. I'm getting mine built ready for servos and turbine.

That should be a super light, super fun jet. The one I built for David has an M100 in it :)

I like both schemes. But it is not my taste to paint a sport model in a scale scheme. I'd replace the Navy markings with the Wizard markings.
Where did you get the Wizard/ZN line sticker? Are there graphic files you would be willing to share? Cheers! |
