I maiden the Wizard S yesterday.. Had 5 successful flights on it. It flies so stable and precise. Its not a speed demon as I expected but still VERY fast. It needed a few clicks of up elevator as I think its a bit nose heavy. Over time I will change the battery to a smaller battery to reduce the nose weight. The Ditex servos work so nice and well so quiet no buzzing at all. It was defenetily an attention grabber with the paint scheme. Not too many people paint their jets as the norm is paint in the mold.

Overall very happy with this jet and its definitely a keeper... Thanks again to Danny and the team at "Rocket Factory" for another outstanding project...

I saw one of thesep flying, pretty fast (and loud) with no bypass, unless the one I saw actually had a bypass, I did not look inside that one

Wow.. that's pretty hefty.. I was thinking of putting a K45 in mine and going as light as possible on the install.

This airplane does not get enough love. JP sent me some photos of one under construction and I have one coming to me. I another perfect fit for the X45. Actually, I saw David's at the field and new right away that I needed one.

Nice and clean, in the white it kind of reminds me of a rebel.

I thought its more like an Avanti.

JP’s airplanes have the nicest glass work of any jet I’ve built. They are a joy to build.

I fly this one already for 3 years.
Powered by a Kingtech K70. Weight is 5,2 kilo (11,5 lbs) with full UAT.

You added the little fins at the back. Was that to complete the look? Or to improve handling?
It is a nice model and your's came out pretty light.

I did the vertral fins to make the jet looks even better. But the bonus was it improved the handling of the jet even better. It feels like a “natural gyro”. Like most swept wing jets, it has a tendency to “Dutch roll”. With the ventral vins it improved this tendency a lot.
I am always looking to save weight on my airplanes. Lighter is always better as it is very easy to make jets heavier but not lighter. For example I use carbon wing tubes and a 1 liter fuel tank and can still fly 6 minutes with mixed throttle settings

Sounds like a great candidate for the Xicoy X-45.
Do you buy direct or is their a dealer in the US?

I've ordered directly from JP at ZN Line. He recommends the X45 and it is the turbine he uses in his. I'm getting mine built ready for servos and turbine.

That should be a super light, super fun jet. The one I built for David has an M100 in it :)

No argument there.. I've built several of JP's pattern airplanes over the years. His glasswork is unmatched IMO.

I like fast jets but I don’t think the Wizard was designed to be a speed demon in the first place. 😂
I know JP a little and his intention was to design an aerobatic jet. Please make a video when you go full power with a 120. I wonder at what speed the airframe disintegrate. 🤣

My first turbine in the Wizard S was a Lambert Kolibri T50. Around the same specs as the X45. Great combo and ultra light. Unfortunately the engine was very unreliable. Replaced it later to a K70.

And it would be easier to see in the air.

Thanks. Yes much better to see in the air. That is a fact. I like the Navy scheme a lot as well. But some of the flying buddy’s liked the grey scheme more. Luckily not everybody has the same taste. 😃

I like both schemes. But it is not my taste to paint a sport model in a scale scheme. I'd replace the Navy markings with the Wizard markings.
Where did you get the Wizard/ZN line sticker? Are there graphic files you would be willing to share?
