Powerbox + Cortex will they play nice?

Gents,

I'm fighting a powerbox mercury on a model which badly needs a good gyro but regardless of what i try the mercury just isnt rock solid.
Was wondering, if i could put a cortex infront of the mercury, and make sure the mercury gyro is disabled?

RX SBUS Out - Into Cortex Sbus RX IN
Cortex Sbus Out into Mercury RX In
Mercury connects to servos

Anyone do this, thoughts?

You will need the Cortex Pro for this. It will work great :)

can the cortex pro read an UDI signal (Or sbus) and be connected between mercury and rx?

I thought the cortex would have to be connected between mercury and servos like a 3E.

Why not figure out what's not set up correctly with the Mercury? Mine works great. Have you tired asking questions on the powerbox forum? They respond quickly and have the answers that work.

Thanks guys I thought it would work.
I have tried on the power box forums but their development focus has switched to their new radio and I've not really had much success. I'm having issues on a Eurosport which fly terrible without gyro.

I've had the issue before on another Eurosport and eventually got it working moderately well, but this new euro just won't lock in, rocks around like a shopping cart. Other models I've had good success quickly but not this one.
