Comp arf / skygate Hawk 1: 3.75

Have a question hoping someone out there can answer ? On the big Hawk , the thrust tube sticks out the rear by about 2 inches . I have always been on the understanding that we keep the rear of the pipe about 3 mm to 6mm inside of the body. to help with air scavaging and cooling of the pipe . All the pictures of Hawks flying show the pipe outside the fuselage by that distance . thanks Terry

Mmm no.
The SG CARF pipe sticks out the back around 12mm. 2” is 50mm and you have never seen this.
The inner pipe should be around 10mm short of the outer cool wall pipe

I agree with what your saying. but look on comp site and a couple of videos . that's more than 12mm . from the stock carbon bi pass to back of hawk is 940 mm around 37 inches the stock pipe is 39 inches . has to be a reason csnt be turbine choice because the by pass fits the frame rails

For what it's worth mine sticks out about 12mm as Dave says.

thanks for your input talked to Andreas . 12mm is good . it's basically to be more scale. so I will move turbine ahead and it will work great . Terry .... badboyzrc.com
