Like you I also like my jets to have a clear canopy with cockpit and pilot. But for some reason I don't even think about it with my T1. The quality of the T1 more than makes up for this one feature but now as said I think you can get a clear canopy if desired. If I didn't already have the T1 I probably would have the Odyssey.

I have seen both the T-1 and the Odyssey lined up on the pit row at several of my events. They look nearly identical. Several times I have heard the comment that it looks like they came from the same factory even. I have not flown the Odyssey. The pilot who has one says the Odyssey flies great too. I know the T-1 is a great flyer. It is my go-to plane.

Originally, I thought I wanted the clear canopy too. But I thought I would wait and see. What eventually dawned on me is that the black looked a lot better than any cockpit I would build. I hate building. But I love to fly them. Opting for the black saved me a lot of work and time. I suppose if someone had a prebuilt cockpit for a reasonable price, I would probably go for the clear. But if I had to build it, no way.

I lost my Odyssey back in the spring, and currently have a T-1 on order. I thought the Odyssey was a decent, reasonably priced sport jet that flew well. Based on some observations and the testimonials of others, I’d say the T-1 is generally a higher quality ARF in terms of construction and fit n finish. I just don’t think the Odyssey is in the same league....and I certainly don’t think they look similar....
