Airframes for Xicoy X45
I have an X45 and am trying to decide on a model. What is everyone else using theirs for (non-foamies)? Suitable models that I am aware of are: Sebart Mini Avanti, MB339, Hawk and L39. CARF Rebel Hot. T-One Micro T1. Phoenix Preceptor. |
PAF Acrojet Mini

Harlock Vipers are a good choice as well that’s what I’m flying mine in. |
On the PAF side there is also the Sting. And I forgot the Mini Xcalibur as well. |
Mine is in the Sebart Mini Avanti. I have wren super sport in a Paf Sting Evo, I would think the x45 would not be enough for the Sting Evo
|
The Sting is smaller than the Sting EVO. |
The Phoenix offerings, Preceptor as suggested, Proctor, Gripen. Then the Blackhorse Thunderbird (t-33), L39, Viperjet (90mm).
The Airworld Skyrunner if you want to do 250mph+ plus lots of their other offerings could be x45 powered. |

I think the BVM Electra could be ideal but it is very expensive and the turbine version doesn’t appear to be produced any more (although a conversion would probably be quite easy). |
If still available the Mick Reeves English Electric Lightning kit with two X45's might be a show stopper.......

marcs people expect too much though I reckon. They are great kits for the price. |
Anyone have any experience with Fan Jets USA, they have thirteen 90 MM Jet Kits by RBC, that's right balsa kits, CA, sandpaper and covering required ;)
Some may be a tad on the small side for the X45 though. https://fanjetsusa.com/product-category/electric-jets/ https://www.rbckits.com/shop/rbc-edf-kits.html?page=all |
